Holiday Bible Club 2017 Report

We held a Holiday Bible Club on the 19th-21st April 2017.  It was lovely to see new faces and all the children enjoyed the time.  We had singing, and learnt some choruses such as ‘Yesterday, Today, Forever Jesus is the same’, ‘Wide, Wide as the Ocean’, ‘There’s a way back to God’, and ‘Turn your eyes upon Jesus’.

We learnt some memory verses which were:

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth’ Genesis 1:1

‘For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God’ Romans 3:23

‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’  John 3:16

Each day the children took home a fridge magnet with the text on and came back with it memorised.

There were lots of games such as the ‘captain’s game’, ‘stop the rain showers’, ‘flap-a-fish’, bread and loaves (O’s and X’s) and many more.  We had excellent crafts on theme of the story for the day.  The children did a ‘storm in a bottle’, ‘story stones’, ‘basket of bread and fish’ and ‘matchbox craft’ illustrating Jairus daughter.

The stories followed the theme – Jesus has power over…..

Day one (Nature) the miracle of Jesus calming the sea.

Day two (Need) the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5000

Day three (Death) the miracle of Jesus raising to life Jairus’ daughter.

Each day the children went home with a take home sheets and a goody bag which included TBS colouring books, sweets and small toys.

We look forward in the will of the Lord to commence a Sunday School starting 7th May 2017.

The Lord answered many prayers and all glory must go to Him.
