Maryport Street Baptist Chapel has stood in the centre of Devizes since 1780. We are easy to find — we are on Maryport Street itself, a two-minute walk from the Market Place.

Parking
Central Car Park, Maryport Street (SN10 1DW) is the nearest — it is on the same street, behind Poundland, and has 162 spaces including 6 blue badge bays. On Sundays parking in all Wiltshire Council car parks in Devizes is a flat £1 for the whole day.
Vales Lane (SN10 1AH) is a short walk away and also £1 on Sundays.
There is limited on-street parking on Maryport Street itself.

On foot
From the Market Place, walk through the Little Brittox to the Brittoxand Maryport Street is at the end of the precinct. Turn right and the chapel is on the right side of the street.
When you arrive
Come to the front door on Maryport Street. Someone will be at the door from about 10.40am to welcome you and give you a hymn book — do say if it is your first visit, and they will find you a seat and answer any questions.
There is no dress code. Some wear a jacket and tie, many do not. Come as you are.

If you are coming with children
Children are very welcome to stay in the service with you. If you would rather take a small child out, there is a room where you can still hear the service. This can be found in the downstairs side hall which is just beyond the toilets.
What to expect
Our services are straightforward and unhurried: hymns, prayer, Bible reading, and preaching. They usually last about an hour and a quarter. No collection is taken during the service — there is a box for freewill offerings in the entrance area if you wish to give.
Sundays: 11.00am and 6.30pm A short prayer meeting precedes the evening service at 5.50pm. Tea and biscuits follow the evening service.
